Mental Health and Wellbeing Resources During COVID-19

In response to requests from NY Funders Alliance membership, we have created a summary of resources for mental health and wellbeing services during COVID-19. If you have additional suggestions for this list, please contact us.

Headspace, a global leader in mindfulness and meditation, and the Office of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that they have teamed up to offer free meditation and mindfulness content for all New Yorkers as a mental health resource for residents coping with the unprecedented public health crisis facing the state and the nation. Governor Cuomo has emphasized the importance of ensuring New Yorkers have access to the mental health resources they need to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic, and this effort furthers that goal. The Governor has set up a Mental Health hotline for those feeling they could benefit from talking to a mental health professional. The phone number is 844-863-9314

CDC – “Mental Health and Coping During COVID-19”

211:  2-1-1 is the one number to call to find or give help in Albany, Columbia, Fulton, Greene, Hamilton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren, and Washington counties.

2-1-1 is an easy-to-remember telephone number to call for free and confidential community referral that connects callers with resources providing food, shelter, rent assistance, clothing, child care options and other types of community assistance. Trained referral specialists are multi-lingual and available to help individuals find the help they need. Read more about the resource here
