Rethinking Philanthropy

NY Funders Alliance February 2017 Blog Post

The new year started off on a strong note for the NY Funders Alliance as the Board of Directors hired Corinne Ribble as our new Executive Director, who began in her role on January 30th.

Corinne has dedicated her career to building and strengthening the independent sector and brings more than 20 yeCLR Head Shotars of experience to the NY Funders Alliance. She previously held leadership positions in a variety of charitable environments including the Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties and Syracuse University. She was also a past president of the Literacy Funders Network, an affinity group of the Council on Foundations. In 2012, Corinne founded Riverview Strategies, a nonprofit and philanthropic consulting firm. She is a native of Central New York and received her Bachelor of Arts from Colgate and her Master’s in Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University.

The NY Funders Alliance is looking ahead to a strong and successful year ahead. We are planning to visit each of our regions to provide engaging programming – both in person and online. We are also planning to launch our new, more advanced and dynamic members-only sections of our website in the first half of the year, which will dramatically improve the way members communicate with each other and receive resources from our office. And of course, I couldn’t forget our biennial New York State Funders Conference in November in Buffalo. I know I speak for the entire Board of Directors to say that we are thrilled to have Corinne on board to lead those efforts.

My hope is that you will all have the opportunity to meet and get to know Corinne in the very near future, and we are working on plans now to have her visit many of her regions in the coming months. Corinne can be reached by phone at 585.232.2380 or email at corinne@nyfunders.org and I hope you will join me in welcoming her to our network. Together, we are committed to working with our members on strengthening ties between Upstate New York funders and making our work as impactful and effective as possible.

Sincerely,
