Rethinking Philanthropy

Welcome to the NY Funders Alliance Blog!

Announcing the new NY Funders Alliance blog! Two posts a month will update you on happenings inside our office, within our network, and throughout the broad world of philanthropy. Read our first entry…

Dear Funders,

We’re so excited to launch our new blog, and the timing truly couldn’t be better. Last week we quietly launched our updated and improved website, www.nyfunders.org. We invite you to take a look around, and we hope you like what you see because we’re thrilled with the updates and improvements. Stay tuned because we’re still working on members-only portions of the website that will be launched in the coming months. These updates will create the foundation for a new and improved communications strategy, that will include revamped electronic newsletters and this blog!

You can be on the lookout for two blog posts each month. The first, from inside the NY Funders Alliance office. The second will be from an insightful thinker in the field on topics you care about. As always, we appreciate and accept input from our members on topics and authors they’re interested in seeing in this space. Our hope is that we can simultaneously inform, engage, and inspire the work you do and that you will look forward to each post.

In addition to the new website and blog, we have begun planning for 2017. We’re already developing programming and plotting out our travel schedules, and we can promise you that next year is going to be our biggest and best year yet. As a team, we are committed to improving the ways in which we engage with all of you. This means more thoughtful communication, more diverse programming, and more meaningful convenings for funders.

We are looking forward to all of the great things to come, and we encourage you to stay tuned – through the website, blog, and newsletters – on what is happening at the NY Funders Alliance.

Best,
emily
