About the Group
In 2017, Liftoff (then the WNY Early Childhood Funders for Change) sought to better understand how the region serves young children, how communities structure systems to improve life and learning, and how stakeholders across the system could come together to effect change. Over 200 Western New Yorkers lent their voices to this effort including parents, early childhood providers, early childhood experts, members of the philanthropic community, and government officials.

Rachel Bonsignore, Director
As Director, Bonsignore oversees all aspects of Liftoff’s strategic and impact agenda. Before joining Liftoff, Bonsignore previously served as Chief Operating Officer and Director of Community Health Initiatives at The Children’s Agenda in Rochester, N.Y. where she worked on advancing effective policies and programs for the health, education, and success of children, especially the most vulnerable. For the past 20 years, Bonsignore has prioritized community engagement and policy change advocacy to improve the lives of children and families in our region and has actively contributed to national, state, and regional alliances.
